The WEEE Regulations (Waste Electrical  and Electronic Equipment Regulations) was put in place to ensure that any product with a crossed out wheelie bin logo is recycled and NOT put in the household waste bin.  These measures were put in place to increase recycling of raw materials, avoid landfill and protect our environment.  Your local authority will be able to direct you to the nearest collection facility in your area.
